ELBERT MIDDLETON, RESIDENT OF CITY SIXTEEN YEARS, DIES
Elbert J. Middleton, 66, a resident of Bellingham for sixteen years, died at his home, 1110 Forest street, Tuesday night after an illness of one month. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lois E. Middleton; a daughter, Mrs. Verna M, Hayner, of Seattle; a twin brother, E. H. Middleton, of Blaine; a sister, Mrs. Charles Vaughn, of National City, California; and two grandchildren, Sherwood and Marjorie Hayner, of Seattle. He was an active member of the Garden Street M. E. church. Funeral services will be held from the Homer Mark mortuary Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Thomas W. Jeffry officiating. Interment will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.

MIDDLETON -- Elbert J. Middleton, aged 66 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Lois E. Middleton, passed away at the family home, 1110 Forest street, Tuesday, December 5, after an illness of one month’s duration. Mr. Middleton had been a resident of this community for the past sixteen years, and was an active member in the Garden Street Methodist church. Surviving relatives, besides his widow; are one daughter, Mrs. Nina M. Hayner, Seattle; a twin brother, E. H. Middleton, Blaine; one sister, Mrs. Charles Vaughn, National City, Cal.; and two grandchildren, Sherwood and Marjorie Hayner, Seattle. The body is being cared for at the Homer Mark Mortuary, Cornwell avenue at Halleck street and funeral services will be held in the Cathedral chapel Friday afternoon, December 8, at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. Thomas W. Jeffrey, pastor of the Garden Street Methodist church, officiating, Interment will be made in Greenacres Memorial Park.Bellingham Herald -- Bellingham, Washington
