Duane C. Raue, 42, of Fremont died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Nye Legacy in Fremont. He was born July 4, 1970, in Marengo, Iowa. He graduated from South Tama High School in 1988 and received an associate degree from Hawkeye Tech. He married Tara (Wood) Raue on Sept. 19, 1992, in Traer, Iowa. They lived in Renwick, Iowa, until 1995 when they moved to Fremont, where he had been employed by Wiechman Pig Company. Duane was a member of First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his children going to their baseball and softball games. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved dirt track racing.

Duane is survived by his wife, Tara; children, Austin and Morgan of Fremont; Uncle Leo and Aunt Jean Hanson of Fremont; cousins, Celina (Chuck) Kucera and daughter, Carlee, Eric Hanson and Jordan Young and unborn baby of Scribner. Other family also is in Iowa.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Fremont with the Rev. Charlie Axness officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont with the family present from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. The family has requested memorials in lieu of flowers.
