ROCK ISLAND, IL - Harry W. Dack, of Rock Island, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2002, at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island. Burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Island. He had worked as a foreman at Caterpillar Co., retiring in 1977. He also had worked at JI Case. Mr. Dack was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Rock Island. He married Velma Young in 1933 in Vincent, Iowa. She died in 1991. He married Alice Berghult in 1995 in Moline. Survivors include his wife, Alice; stepdaughters, Varla Bare, Rock Island, and Lana Guessford, Des Moines; a stepson, Jan Berghult, Kewanee, Ill.; five step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
