Florence Lekwa, 71, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

She is survived by her daughter, Sena Rae Lekwa of Newton, Iowa; granddaughter, Teresa Guglielmi of Iowa City, Iowa; grandsons, German Guglielmi and Isiah Breeden. Granddaughter, Stacey Nelson and her fiance Jon Seaver of Humboldt; grandsons, Tyson Conrad and his wife Sheryl of Palm Harbor, Florida and Tyler Guglielmi of Altoona, Iowa; great grandson, Brandon Stowell and a son-in-law, Dave Conrad. She is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Beulah (Dunning) Bockoven and a daughter, Janet Conrad.

Florence A. Bockoven was born May 7, 1938 in Webster County and attended schools in Otho, Iowa. On February 1, 1955 she married Virgil Lekwa in Jewell, IA and they later divorced. Florence lived in Fort Dodge and Webster County all her life. She worked as a CNA for Mercy Hospital from 1960 to 1970, the Expo Nursing Home for 23 years and Fort Dodge Villa Care. Florence loved sewing and was a member of the Otho-Kalo Community Church.
