R. P. Jones, 75, died Saturday afternoon at his home, 1100 Medary, after suffering a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel and three daughters, Mrs. Roy Griffin (Ada), Boise, Idaho; Mrs. John Campbell (Lila), Crookfield, Ill., and Mrs. Warren Jacobson (Gertrude), Austin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon.

1882 Reuben P. Jones 1957

Reuben P. Jones was born April 21, 1882 at Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of George W. and Eliza Liscolm Jones. He attended rural school in Iowa and in 1893, moved from Eagle Grove to a homestead at Tioga, N. D. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Tioga. On Dec. 22, 1909 he was united in marriage with Isabel Uglaum [sic] at Stanley, N. D. Mr. Jones was engaged in farming until 1944, when he entered the real estate business in Austin. He resided at 1100 Medary.

Mr. Jones died July 27, 1957, at his home after suffering a heart attack. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 31 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the Rev. Arthur L. Swenson officiating. Internment was in Oakwood Cemetery with the Worlein Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Isabel; three daughters, Mrs Roy Griffin (Ada), Boise, Idaho, Mrs. John Campbell (Lila), Brookfield, Ill., and Mrs. Warren Jacobson (Gertrude), Austin; two sisters, Mrs. I. A. Knight (Ona), Weaubleau, Mo., and Mrs. George Knott (Neva), Walla Walla, Wash; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Out of town persons attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Griffin, Janet, Robert and Omeda, Boise; Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell, Barbara and John, Brookfield; Mr. and Mrs. Clair Jones; Mrs. M. O. Peterson, Wyndmere, N. D.; Mrs. Hubert Christianson, Fessenden, N. D.; Charles Stillman, Emmetsburg, Iowa; Ernest Stillman, Clear Lake, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Uglum, Mrs. Iver Uglum, Mrs. Conrad Schissel and children, Adams; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Torgerson, Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jacobson, Hartland, Minn; Mrs. Russell Peterson, Mrs. Stanley Peterson, New Richland, Minn; Mrs. George Lewer, Waseca; many other friends from Adams, Elkton, Lyle and Minneapolis.
