Nora Ann Hansen was born March 31, 1897, to Hans and Caroline (Frederiksen) Hansen in Troy Township at Wright County, Iowa. She attended country schools in Troy Township. On March 3, 1921, she was united in marriage to Holger Martin Christensen at the Methodist Parsonage in Eagle Grove. She devoted her life to her family.

Nora Ann Christensen died Saturday, February 8, 1997, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion at the age of 99. Survivors include her two sons, W.L. "Stub" Christensen and wife, Mary Ellen, and Donald Christensen and wife, Lillian, both of Eagle Grove; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Holger; a son, Harold; a daughter, Betty Jergenson; four brothers, Chris, Axel, Edmond, and Clarence; six sisters, Gertie Jergenson, Hannah Sorensen, Adel Stryker, Agnes Nelson, Nellie Long, and Nancy Brauman.

Private family services were held Tuesday, February 11, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. at Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with the Reverend Maynard Moen officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
