WILLIAM SCHROEDER, 60, of Dows died early Sunday morning.

William Fritz Martin Schroeder, son of August and Anna Breuhan Schroeder, was born April 1, 1897 in this community and has remained a resident of it ever since. Feb. 7, 1923 William Schroeder was united in holy wedlock with Miss Amelia Hipp. He engaged in farming until four years ago when they moved to Dows. He was an active member of the Vernon Lutheran church and served several years on the church council. He is survived by his widow, four sons, Wilbur, and Walter both living southwest of Dows, Harold of Dows and Melvin Schroeder of Cedar Falls, three daughters, Mrs. Erman Cullinan of Clarion, Mrs. Velma Van Gerpen of Dows and his aged mother, Mrs. Anna Schroeder of Dows; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Rockow of Almena, Wisc., and Mrs. Leona Coow of Dows. Interment was made in Vernon Lutheran cemetery.
