MRS. RUTLEDGE SERVICES SET

Ervilla V. Rutledge, 84, formerly of Grinnell, died Monday, Aug. 3, at the home of her daughter in Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel Ogata officiating. Pallbearers will be Billie Bennett, Maynard Durr, Verl Garwood, Larry O. Hines, Myles Olson and William Tish. Burial will be in the Westfield Cemetery southwest of Grinnell.

The daughter of Edward and Mary Agnes O'Riley Belcher, she was born on Dec. 15, 1902, near Maryville, Mo. She attended rural school. On March 14, 1920 she was married to Loran W. Rutledge at Maryville. The couple came to Iowa to farm near Algona and Eagle Grove before coming to Grinnell in 1943. Following her husband's death in 1977, Mrs. Rutledge lived with her daughter, Delores Cox, in Kansas City.

She is survived by her children, Edward of Newton, Barbara Rudolph of Marshalltown, Delores Cox of Kansas City, Mary Rose Niederhauser of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and Linda Lou McNally of Iowa City; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ervin Belcher of Maryville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one daughter, Charlene Anne Beam.
