Barber Drinks Hair Tonic

Webster City—Unable to buy any intoxicating liquors in the town, Jesse Stewart, a barber at Jewell, drank hair tonic and died from the effects. His home was in Dows where the body was shipped. Stewart was addicted to the use of intoxicants. He had been in Jewell only a short time. There are no drug store liquor permits in Jewell, and his own hair tonic was all he could get to drink. A wife and one child survive him.
