Howard Wesley Myers, 91, of the Glenmoor Community of World Golf Village, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Jan. 14, 2013. He was born in Rowan, Iowa, and has resided in Florida since 1962. He founded, owned and operated Dial Plumbing of Cocoa, Florida. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WW II and he flew his American flag daily with pride. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice Myers of St. Augustine; daughter Nancy Morrison (Rich) of Jacksonville; son Steven Myers (Connie) of Crystal River; daughter-in-law Maxine Myers of Rockledge; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Myers was predeceased by his son, Jon Myers, who died Jan. 14, 2003.
Mr. Myers' body was donated to the Anatomical Board of the State of Florida in Gainesville. St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
