Anna Stock, 85, of Sheffield, Iowa, passed away Saturday at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield, Iowa. She was born October 9, 1927, in Kanawha, Iowa, to Ubbe and Annie (Betten) Smidt. Anna graduated from Kanawha High School in 1946. She was married to Robert Stock on August 19, 1953, at the Christian Reformed Church in Kanawha, Iowa. Anna was an active member of the Zion Reformed Church in Rural Sheffield, Iowa. She enjoyed cards, board games, puzzles, gardening, mowing the lawn, tending to her flowers and her cats. Anna baked a cake a day from scratch and made sure everyone always had something to eat. Robert and Anna met at the Surf and continued dancing throughout their marriage, they also celebrated both 25th and 50th wedding anniversary on the dance floor together. Anna drove truck for 35 years helping Robert build their business. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her and she really enjoyed attending all of their activities. She is survived by her husband Robert Stock of Sheffield, son Roger (Carol) Stock of Sheffield, daughter Lavon Tanner (Phil Oleson) of Belmond, daughter Bonnie (Rick) Schwierjohann of Rockwell, son Jerry (Juli) Stock of Sheffield, Gene Stock (Val Haugebak) of Hampton, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Anna is preceded in death by her parents, sister Lena Butson, brother Hensmen Smidt and granddaughter Lindsay Stock. Burial will take place at the Church Cemetery.
