Bernyce Emma (Brand) Watt; Died November 17, 2012 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Bernyce was born September 5, 1927 to Oscar and Edith Bessman Brand, in Dows, Iowa. Bernyce graduated from Albert Lea High School in Minnesota before moving to California, where she worked at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona Valley Hospital and Pomona Unified School District. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Pomona, where she enjoyed working to feed the hungry, before moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2005.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister La Bonna Stegenga. Bernyce is survived by her daughters Melanie Jackson and husband Howard of Las Vegas, Nev. And Valerie Watt of Santa Barbara, Calif.; grandchildren Nicolette Toshi and husband Steven of Las Vegas, Nev. And Gena Lucio of Las Vegas; her sister Verdelle Thrun and husband Arthur of Bella Vista, Ark.; niece Ronda Kanne of Woodbury, Minn., and nephew Troy Stegenga of Hollandale, Minn.

Funeral services are pending. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
