KENNETH LARSEN

The little son of Mr. and Mrs. John Larsen, living near Renwick, Iowa, accidentally drowned in the stock watering tank Saturday morning, May 23. The little one was in the yard playing as usual with his kitten and the mother had been out not long before to help him with his imaginary play horses, but had returned to her work in the house. After a time she stepped out again and not seeing him called for him but he did not answer. A search of the farm premises soon located him in the water tank. They hurried him to the doctor at Renwick, but resuscitation was too late.

Little Kenneth had just recently learned to talk, and he was dearly loved by all who had met him for his his sweet childish happiness. It will be hard for the parents and relatives to realize he is gone, but it is comforting to know he was spared Earth’s cares and sorrows and that his life is transplanted in that brighter home beyond.

Funeral services were held at the U. P. church Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. M. McCracken, and the body was laid to rest in the Goldfield cemetery.

The relatives from a distance were: Mrs. Stella Ingersoll of Milton; Mrs. J. W. Riggs and sons, Jackie and Robert, of Fairfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Larsen and son, of Abington, Ill.; Raymond Ingersoll of Madrid; Mr. and Mrs. Ora Baker and daughter of Milton; J. E. Hardman, L. R. Hardman and Melvin Hardman of Memphis, Mo. Miss Lela McLeland, of Milton, and Frank Romph, of Washington, D. C., friends of Mr. and Mrs. Larsen, also attended the funeral.

Larsen, was born at Milton, Iowa, on July 29, 1929, and passed away at his home near Renwick, May 23, 1931, being one year, nine months and 23 days old. Besides his parents, he leaves a great grandmother, Mrs. Polly Harman of Memphis, Mo.; his grandfather and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. John Larsen of Goldfield; his grandmother, Mrs. Stella Ingersoll, of Milton.
