October 26, 1943 --- September 18, 2012

George E. Draeger, 68, of Webster City, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, with Pastor Craig Bex officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation for George will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191.

George Edward Draeger, son of Raymond and Maxine (Larson) Draeger was born on October 26, 1943 in Webster City, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963 and U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1965 serving on the U.S.S. Reeves. On September 2, 1983, he married Holly Ann Schnell in Webster City. George was a truck driver for 50 years, most recently working for ADS in Eagle Grove and then for Madden Trucking in Boone.

Survivors include his wife, Holly of Webster City; his children, Linda (Nick Burgoyne) Steeves of Minneapolis, MN, Angela (Jeff) Crick of Webster City, Brian M. (Erica) Draeger of Blairsburg, Lance Draeger of Webster City, Kyle (Susan) Draeger of Fort Riley KS, Tara Sebert of Webster City, Wanda (Bob) Gray of Illinois, Monica Taylor and Brian S. Draeger, both of Florida; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his siblings, Carol Arthur, Sharon Conway, Gladys Pruismann, Charlie Draeger, Judy Burlingame, Albert Draeger, LeRoy Draeger, Pearl Hansen, Marge Krieger, Viola Christian, Jane Lara, Marlene Kastner, Mary Ann Fields, Barb Staples, and Gary Draeger; his mother-in-law, Joan Schnell and his sister-in-law, Rhonda Draeger.
