Mary Ann (Marrin) Stockdale was born in Pomona, California, on January 2nd, 1945 to Thomas and Mary Ellen (Chandler) Marrin. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth. On May 2, 1963, she was united in marriage with Robert Stockdale of Eagle Grove in Las Vegas, Nevada and they made their home in San Dimas, California. In 1968, they moved to Iowa – residing in Indianola, Norwalk, Fort Dodge and in 1994, moved to Duncombe. Mary Ann worked for the Fort Dodge K-Mart and The Messenger Newspaper. Mary Ann enjoyed camping, fishing and most of all – being true Nana – 'spoiling rotten' her five grandchildren and making the best smiley-face pancakes!

Mary Ann passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012, at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, at the age 67 years. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Robert Stockdale of Duncombe; three children: Rick Stockdale and wife Angela of Lake Lure, NC, Greg Stockdale of Eagle Grove and Monica Matthes and husband Keith of Woolstock and five grandchildren: Gunnar, Mason, Maddie, Kiera and Thomas.

Memorial services will be held Friday, August 31, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating.
