S. S. PACKARD IS FOUND DEAD
Belmond Man's Body Found In Car; Heart Disease Given as CauseBELMOND, IA May 27. — S. S. Packard, 54, was found dead in a car in a garage near his home Sunday morning; by his wife. He had been in the habit of sleeping in his car and his wife did not become alarmed until he failed to come into the house in the morning. Coroner Walker from Clarion investigated and said death resulted from heart disease. Packard was a former cafe owner here and at one time superintendent of a dining car for the Union Pacific. He leaves his wife, two sons, Duane, attending Iowa university and the other a junior in high school and one daughter, employed in Sioux City. Funeral services will be in the Belmond funeral home Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. S. U. Leinbach with burial here.
