EAGLE GROVE — Mrs. Martha Simmons, a former Eagle Grove resident, died Saturday at the Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. She had been a resident there since the home was opened. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nate, who had been a railroad employee here. Funeral services for Mrs. Simmons were held Tuesday at the Methodist church at 3:30. Officiating was Dr. Clarence Tompkins, executive director of Friendship Haven and the Rev. Roy Cox, pastor of the Methodist Church. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
