Military Rites For Anton Olson

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Eyler Funeral Chapel for Anton B. Olson. The Rev. Jordan Jacobson of Eagle Grove officiated and military rites were conducted at the cemetery. Mr. Olson, 76, died Monday morning at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. Born in Sweden in April of 1887, he came to the United States in 1905 and was employed as a mason and tiler. He lived in Illinois for eleven years and came to Clarion in 1916. He was a Veteran of World War I and served overseas. Survivors include one brother, Olaf of Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
