Mrs. Gusta Hill Succumbs to Long Illness

EAGLE GROVE — Mrs. Gusta Hill Tegland, 68, died Monday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Dodge, following a long illness. Funeral services will be held at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church Friday, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth R. Torvik officiating. Internment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Hardy. The Sacquety Funeral Chapel will be in charge.

Mrs. Tegland was born Aug. 14, 1891, to Joseph and Elizabeth Hamre Hill at Melvin, Ill. Preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas, March 17, 1958, and a daughter, Gladys, Oct. 18, 1942. Surviving are ten children: Leonard, Rockford, Ill.; Thomas, Jr., Rockford, Ill.; Howard, Oceanside, Calif.; Robert, Eagle Grove; Esther Tegland, Des Moines; Mrs. Victor Anderson, Eagle Grove; Geneva Tegland, Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. L. A. Todd, Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. Mildred Woodin, Kennewick, Wash., and Mrs. Richard Cox, Urbana, Ill. Also surviving are two brothers, Martin Hill and Almer Hill, Humboldt; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
