12 April 1890 -- 17 August 1958

Funeral services for Henry G. Caquelin, 68, retired farmer, were held at the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 20. Rev. John Scrivner, Methodist minister of Galva, formerly of Woolstock, officiated. Burial was in the French cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Peck, Orville Caquelin, Fritz Stien, Fred Maxedon and Harold Caquelin. Mrs. Gaylord Jones and Mrs. Edna Claude were on the flower committee. Music was furnished by Miss Jo Anne Kastler and Mrs. Clyde Doolittle. Mr. Caquelin died at his home southeast of town early Sunday morning. He is survived by five sons and three daughters, Maynard and Lowell of Webster City; Donald and Gene of Woolstock; John of Minneapolis; Mrs. Ivan (Phyllis) Hoffman of Rudy, Ark; Mrs. Melvin (JoAnn) Biggs of Webster City; Mrs. Lynn (Shirley) Sorensen of Goldfield. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and five sisters: Mrs. Leona Brandt of Webster City, Mrs. Helen Rosenberry of Omaha, Mrs. John Russell of Santa Barbara. Calif., Mrs. Don Wisener of Yuma, Ariz., and Mrs. Dennis Tyler of Jeffers, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, two brothers, one sister and his parents.
