Bus, Car Crash; 2 Killed 11 Hurt

ST. LOUIS, Missouri Aug. 9, 1951 --
Two persons were killed and 11 others were injured in the crash of a Greyhound bus and a car in the rain near here today. The dead were identified as Luther Tate, 40, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Darlene Cooper, 30, Fort Dodge, Iowa, both riding in the car. The westbound bus, on its way to Tulsa, Okla,, was spun around in the road by the impact and struck the car a second time before it rolled over on its side in a ravine. The car was demolished. Fred Young of Springfield, Mo., the bus driver, and 10 of his passengers were injured.
