FILLMORE, CA - Mrs. Margaret Toppings, 73, of 303 A Street, died yesterday at a Ventura hospital.
She was born May 22, 1888, in Fredericksburg, Ia. Mrs. Toppings was a member of the Church of Christ at Casitas Springs. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Leola McKinley of Fillmore; Mrs. Elaine Crane of Garden Grove, and Mrs. Maxine Simon of Roseburg, Ore.; three sons, Wesley of Oakland, Ore., Levi Toppings of Salem, Ore., and Glenn Toppings of Oakview; two sisters, Mrs. Madge Henley and Mrs. Pearl Storey, both of Eagle Grove, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fillmore Chapel of the H. B. Skillin Mortuary by Elder Joel L. Glen. Burial will be at Ivy Lawn Cemetery.
