GRIFFIN—March 24 at a local hospital. Glenn W. Griffin of 1566 "J" St., aqed 79 years. Husband of Edith at the home; father of Wayne Glenn Griffin, Paul Albert Griffin and Ruth Griffin. Born July 4, 1886 in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Friends who wish may make memorials to the Cancer fund in lieu of flowers. Member of Union Pacific Oldtimers Club. Remains at DeWitt Funeral Home. Glenn W. Griffin, 79, of 1566 "J" St. died at a local hospital Thursday. Griffin was born July 4, 1886, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He owned and operated an auto agency in Chicago, coming west to the Portland area in 1940 and to Walla Walla County in 1942. He was a retired employee of the Union Pacific Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Edith, at the home; two sons, Wayne Glenn Griffin and Paul Albert Griffin, and one daughter, Ruth Griffin. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the DeWitt chapel with the Rev. Jesse Copeland of the Southern Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery. He was a member of the Union Pacific Oldtimers Club.
