B. E. Beck, Architect, Dies At 68

Beresford E. Beck, 68, of 2850 E. River Road, a Tucson architect, died last night at Tucson Country Club, apparently of a heart attack or stroke. He was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, Dec. 10, 1902. He came to Tucson in October 1942. He had been associated with Place and Place Architects since 1952. He worked on the design of many commercial, institutional and educational buildings in Tucson. He was a graduate of Yale University and attended Northwestern University. He was a Country Club, an original director - charter member of the Tucson of Pima Savings and Loan Association, a member of the Mountain Oyster Club and the American institute of Architects. Survivors include two sons David B. Beck of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Jonathan D. Beck of Tucson; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Heuss of New York, N.Y., a brother, Joseph S. Beck of Evanston, Ill. and four grandchildren. Family services are pending
at Palms Mortuary, 5225 E Speedway Blvd.
