January 2, 1891 --- March 31, 1963

Chester M. Thompson, 72, a railroad conductor for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for 33 years, died Sunday in a Phoenix hospital. Mr. Thompson, who moved here 11 years ago from Eagle Grove, Iowa, lived at 1206 N. 11th St. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Eagle Grove and a member of the Morningside Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of World War I. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. The Rev. Bruce Compton and the Masonic funeral committee will officiate. Survivors include his wife Emila; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis Morgan and Charlene Thompson of Phoenix; a sister, Mrs. Beth Camblin of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; and a brother, Milford Thompson of Eagle Grove. Friends may call after 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Mortuary.
