October 31, 1950 - July 22, 2012

Ronald Lynn Clutter, 61, of Clarion passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at his home in Clarion. Funeral services for Ron Clutter will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 201 3rd Avenue North East, in Clarion with Pastor Don Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Ron was born on October 31, 1950 to Curtis and Muriel (Thompson) Clutter in Hampton, Iowa. Ron graduated from Clarion High School in 1968 and went on to study at Iowa Central Community College. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1973 after serving overseas in the Korean Theater. On October 17th, 1973 Ron was united in marriage to Beth Sanders. To this union were born three children, Justin, Amy, and Jenna. He was employed for many years with the United States Postal Service, where he retired in 2009.

Ron was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed coaching and teaching the game of baseball to his children, grandchildren, and many of the area youth baseball players over the years. He was passionate about his cars and could often be seen driving the area. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his wife, Beth of Clarion; son, Justin (Alexia) Clutter of Clarkesville, Georgia; daughters, Amy (Steve) Krueger of Clarion and Jenna Clutter of Clarion; mother, Muriel Clutter of Clarion; grandchildren, Colton, Cassidy, Caleb, Maris, Quinn, and Taryn; sisters, Linda (John) Thomas of Coralville and Nancy (Paul) Ahlstrom of Clarion; two brothers, Michael (Peg) Clutter of Clarion and Mark (Dee) Clutter of Fort Collins, Colorado; brother-in-law, Roy (Jan) Sanders and sister-in-law, Delma (Ron) Fromm. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Clutter.
