December 14, 1899 --- May 3, 1963

Mrs. A. T. (Goldie) Swift, a prominent resident of Lawrence township, Grant county, died at Lake Region hospital this morning at 7:30. She had been a patient there only a few days. Mrs. Swift, formerly Goldie E. Corwin, was born in Wright county, Iowa, Dec. 14, 1899. She was a graduate of St. Cloud Teachers college and taught school in Pipestone and Albert Lea for six years. She was married to Arthur T. Swift at Nevada, Iowa, July 9, 1925. An active member of the Lawrence. Presbyterian church she was a past president of the ladies aid. Mr. and Mrs. Swift, returned April 18 from a winter vacation in Bradenton, Fla. Surviving besides her husband are a son, Arthur Swift Jr. on the home farm near Wendell, a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Lois) Johnson of Minneapolis and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Lawrence Presbyterian church Sunday at 3 p. m. with the Rev. Russell Tillotson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Glende-Johnson Funeral Home.
