July 2, 1870 --- October 14, 1950

Simon Henry Alder, 80, of 623 1/2 Pine Ave., died Oct. 14, in a Los Angeles hospital. He was born in Franklin County, Iowa, and came from Clarion, Iowa, to Long Beach in 1917. He was a carpenter, and leaves no known survivors. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Patterson & Snively Chapel, Rev. Paul S. Dietrick of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be private.
