Dennis Michael Baker, age 67, a longtime resident of Manitou Springs, Colorado passed away on July 14, 2012 at his home in Crystal Hills. Dennis was born on April 19, 1945 in Belmond, Iowa, a son of G.J and Dorothy Holgate Baker. His family moved to Colorado Springs in 1961. In 1963, after obtaining his Colorado Real Estate Brokers license, he went to work with his father who owned and operated Baker Real Estate and later Baker Real Estate and Appraisers. He was a successful real estate agent for over 40 years and worked in both the real estate and appraisal businesses, since 1995. He enjoyed playing poker, golfing and reading. Dennis is survived by his Mother, Dorothy Baker of Colorado Springs; daughters, Lisa Michelle Baker of Colorado Springs, Crystal Michelle Baker of Sioux City, South Dakota; Brother Robert David (Lisa) Baker of Anna Maria Island, Florida; nephews, Jared (Carrie) Baker of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Nathan Baker of Manitou Springs, Colorado, and by seven grandchildren, Brittanie, Bailey, Keegan, McKenzie, Michael, Ashley, and Tyler. He is preceded in death by his father, G. J. Baker (1-31-2004) and by his son, David Michael Baker (4-18-2010) and daughter, Camela Michelle Baker (2-24-1979).

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at First United Methodist Church (Chapel), 420 N. Nevada Avenue in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado.
