Mason City - Eva Marie Danner, 85, of Mason City, died Friday June 1, 2012, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Due to her wishes, she will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later time. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.

Eva was born in Northwood, the daughter of Oswald and Blanche (Westcott) Evenson. She attended school in Klemme, and graduated from Goodell High School, Goodell. She then attended York College, York, Nebraska, where she met her future husband. Eva married Harley Danner on July 14, 1945, in Des Moines. They lived on the family farm rural Northwood, until moving to Nashua. After her husband's death in 1985, she moved to Mason City. Eva was a licensed pilot, activity director, a decorator and enjoyed decorating her home, a collector; seamstress, gardener, great cook, care giver, music teacher and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mason City.

She is survived by her four daughters Vicki (Dave) McLaughlin, Stacy, Minn., Bobbe (Gene) Madson, Clear Lake, Penni (Jay) Kadel, Soda Springs, Idaho and Christi (Scott) Gaubatz, Rockwell; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Ed and Bobby Evenson and her husband Harley. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake.
