Memorial services for Floyd A. Kubly, 84, formerly of Osage, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Kaltwasser officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Cemetery, McIntire, Iowa. Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. till time of service at the church. Floyd died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Wabasha, Minn.

Floyd was born October 20, 1921 at Galt, Iowa. He graduated from Renwick High School, Renwick, Iowa. In 1945 he married Doris Hamer. They farmed in the Eagle Grove and Riceville, Iowa areas, retired in Osage, Iowa and moved to Rochester, Minn. in 2001. He was a loving and fun family man who enjoyed playing cards, pool, golf and fishing.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one infant sister, one infant son, one infant granddaughter and one daughter. He is survived by his wife Doris of Rochester, Minn.; four daughters, Patricia (Dan) True of Wichita, Kan., Nancy (Gary) Rademaker of Riverview, Fla., Vickie Kubly of Rochester, Minn., and Janet (Bill) Henderson of Rochester, Minn.; a son Al (Sandy) Kubly of Plainview, Minn.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Helen (John) Aukland of Fulda, Minn., and Ethel Frakes of Eagle Grove, Iowa. Arrangements made by Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview, Minn.
