CLEAR LAKE — Chad Davis, 41, of 5029 240th St., Clear Lake, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his home of a heart attack. A gathering of family and friends and celebrating of Chad's life and sharing of memories will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at Oscar's home, 5029 240th St., Clear Lake, Iowa, and please dress casual.

Chad was born Nov. 15, 1970, in Belmond the son of Ron and Russalyn (Gaetzke) Davis. He graduated from Ventura High School in 1989. He worked construction throughout the United States and moved back to Clear Lake in 2008 and continued to work construction. Chad was working for Brad's Dock and Hoist at the time of his death. Chad enjoyed driving and working on Drag Racers, listening to music and watching movies.

He is survived by his parents Ron and Russalyn Davis, Hanlontown; brother Craig (Sarah) Davis, Cedar Falls, and their children Morgan, Ava and Trevor; grandfather Oscar Davis, Clear Lake; grandmother Evelyn Gaetzke, Meservey; aunts and uncles Linda Smeby, Rockwell, Darlene (Budd) Porter, Apple Valley, Calif., Rosann (Jerry) Fredin, Wichita, Kan., Greg Gaetzke, Frederika, Iowa, Barb (Mark) Bailey, Belmond, and Reese Gaetzke, Meservey. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Maxine Davis; grandfather Russell Gaetzke; great uncle and aunt Howard and Verna Oehlert and a cousin Chris Catania. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, Iowa.
