JOHN G. ARENDS DIES SUDDENLY
Spends Entire Life on Farm Near AlexanderAlexander, IA — John Gottlieb Arends, 67, died suddenly Saturday at his home. Death was due to a heart ailment. He is survived by his wife and 5 children, Leonard of Detroit, Mich.; Bennie, Alexander; Lt. Jesse Arends, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Fred Webb of Passaic, N. J.; and the Rev. Robert Arends of Chicago. He also leaves 4 brothers and 2 sisters, Ben Arends of Williams; the Rev. Ed Arends of Freeport, Ill.; Mrs. Karl Bohlen of Springfield, Ohio; Capt. Sherman W. Arends of Ft. Lewis Wash.; Grover Arends of Williams; and Mrs. Oscar Hensel of Alexander. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon.
