Carlene F. Cooke, 72, of Clarion and a long time resident of Edina, Minnesota, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Wright Medical Center in Clarion. A Mass of Christian Burial for Carlene Cooke will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clarion with Pastor Nils Hernandez officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street in Clarion and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Carlene is survived by her brother Robert (Bernadine) Cooke of Belmond; nieces and nephews Deb (Wendell) Whipple of Mason City, Diane (John) Crawford of Belmond, Lynn Cooke of Carlisle, Pete Kluss of Spokane, Washington, Mitch (Donna) Kluss of Clarion, Dean (Lisa) Kluss of Clarion, Ronald Jr. (Diane) Cooke of Minneapolis, Dani (Holly) Cooke of Clear Lake, and Tami (Marcus) Willy of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; along with 14 great-nieces and nephews. Carlene was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Genevieve Cooke, an infant daughter, Toya, her brothers Jerry Cooke and Ronald “Butch” Cooke, and a sister, Beth Kluss.
