H. M. WILSON TAKES OWN LIFE
Crazed With Pain From Amputed Limb He Decided to End all— 38 Caliber Bullet Crashes Through His Brain.

The city was startled Monday morning with the shocking news that Harry Wilson had committed suicide, dying in a minute after sending a bullet through his head with a revolver. Mrs. Wilson was busy with the preparation of breakfast and hearing the report of the revolver in Mr. Wilson's room hastened there and found him in bed breathing his last with a bullet hole in his forehead. Neighbors were notified and a physician was summoned but the work had been thorough and life was extinct. Mr. Wilson had a leg amputated above the knee some years ago and has suffered much pain from it ever since and Sunday night complained of unusual torture from it stating he could not endure it much longer. But Mrs. Wilson had no thought he ever contemplated relief by taking his own life and was prostrated by the awful fact. She is left with two bright boys, about 8 and 13 years of age. Wm. Mitchell solicited a relief fund for the family Monday and over $100 was quickly raised and placed in Mrs. Wilson's hand. Mr. Wilson was about 40 years of age and had lived In Eagle Grove about 8 years moving here from Clarion. The bereaved widow and children have the warm sympathy of all in their affliction.

FUNERAL
The funeral was held at the home Wednesday morning at 10:30. Rev. York of the Congregational church conducted the services with singing by the Congregational choir. The burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. The Royal Neighbors had charge of the funeral arrangements, contributing flowers and assisting with kindly service in the home.
