John "Jack" Huber was born April 29, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Mae (Smith) Huber. Jack graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago then worked for a short time in Chicago. He then entered the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. Jack enjoyed small town living, enjoyed playing darts; dancing, semi-classical and polka music; roller skating, gardening; bird watching, and building bird houses. Jack was "Mr. Fix-It" and kept his tools in an extra ordinary organized fashion. He also earned the nick-name "Mr. OSHA", as he was very conscientious about safety.
