Ruth Buffington, 95, Arlington, TX, died Jan. 31, 2002. A memorial service was held at Arlington, TX. Burial was in the Newtson family plot in Eagle Grove, IA. Ruth Newtson was born May 8, 1906, to Newt and Lillian Newtson in Clarion, IA. She moved with her mother and two brothers to Langford [South Dakota] in 1910 following her father's death. She remained in Langford until 1941 when she and her son, Dennis, moved west. She and sons, Dennis and Douglas, returned to Langford in 1951 where she remained for several years before moving to Wisconsin. She retired to Texas in 1980. Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Dianne) Thole, San Antonio, TX, and Douglas (Cheryl) Buffington, Arlington, TX; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
