Tina M. Fouts, age 52, of Dows, passed away on Saturday January 14, 2012, at the Franklin County General Hospital in Hampton. The Family of Tina M. Fouts will be greeting friends from 5-7:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 21, at the Dugger Funeral Home in Dows. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Tina M. Fouts' name to the family.

Tina is the daughter of David and Verla (Powell) Schlachter, born on December 27, 1959, in San Bernardino, California. At an early age, Tina's family moved to Iowa Falls, where she grew up and attended school. Tina proudly raised two daughters and worked her entire life in central Iowa. Among her numerous jobs, were working at Eureka in Webster City, Casey's General Store in Dows and at the Dows Junction on Interstate 35. Tina was united in marriage to Dean Fouts on June 4, 2005 in Alden, Iowa. The couple made their home in Dows. Tina enjoyed laughing and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the Wild Rose Casino, where she was a V.I.P. Tina also liked going for car rides, especially convertibles.

Tina is survived by her husband, Dean; her father, David Schlachter of Arkansas; her paternal grandfather, Ray Schlachter of Arkansas; two daughters, Kim (Tim) Ostwinkle of Des Moines and Trisha (Matt) Jackson of Buckeye; three step-children, Scott, Brian and Debi; and nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three sisters, four brothers and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father.
