Funeral For Mabel Hanson At Livermore
Funeral service for Mabel Thora Hanson of Livermore, 64, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Friday, Nov. 26, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Livermore with Rev. Michael Klafehn officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. Wilson's of Livermore in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Dennis Rasmussen, Bruce Rasmussen, Galen Rasmussen, Marvin Pearson, Dick Weed and Terry Hart.
Mabel Rasmussen, daughter of Peter and Minnie Thompson Rasmussen, was born June 24, 1912 at Goldfield, Ia. She attended rural schools and graduated from Goldfield Community High School. After attending Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, she taught school in Lake Township of Humboldt County. Following the death of her mother, she helped to raise her younger brother. She married Herman L. Hanson June 19, 1946 in the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The Hansons farmed in Lake Township until 1952, then moved near Livermore where they have since farmed. She died early Tuesday morning at Trinity Regional Hospital in Ft. Dodge.
Mrs. Hanson is survived by her husband, Herman L. Hanson, and two children: LeRoy A. Rasmussen, Livermore; and Monnie, Mrs. Fred Steigleder, Humboldt. There are two grandchildren. A brother and two sisters also survive: Ivan Rasmussen, Maquoketa, Ia; Mrs, Fern Wigg, Goldfield; and Hazel, Mrs Fred Gugisburg, Renwick. She was preceded In death by her parents and two brothers, Harold and Lyle Rasmussen, Mrs. Hanson was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
