March 7, 1871 --- January 29, 1946

George W. Vannoy, formerly of Fremont died Tuesday in Eagle Grove. He was born in Wapello county March 7, 1871 the son of Ann and Adeline Vannoy, Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Vannoy of Fremont; two sons, Ed Vannoy of Ottumwa and Glenn Vannoy of Fremont; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Copenhaver and Mrs. Victoria Knapp, and four brothers, Robert, Chester, William and Lester Vannoy. The body is being brought to the Lester jay funeral home in Ottumwa this evening. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fremont Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Wilford Harrison. Burial will be in the Cedar township cemetery.
