1934 -- April 8, 1964

Killed in Car-Truck Collision, Age 30

Keith G. Miller, 30, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Miller, 1424 Fifth Avenue South, Fort Dodge, was killed Wednesday night, Apr. 8 in the collision of his car and a truck on Highway 20 three miles northeast of Williams. The accident occurred at 10:30. According to investigating officers, Miller was alone in the car. The truck driver, Jesse Bocaerty, 43, of West Allis, Wis., escaped injury. A 12-year-old sister [Donna Rae Miller] of Miller's was fatally injured in a car accident near Eagle Grove several years ago.

Surviving Mr. Miller besides his parents are six brothers and sisters, J. D. Miller, Mrs. Orville Westfall, Mrs. Roger Bruss and Miss Colene Miller, all of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Dale Cooklin of Omaha, and Mrs. Jimmy Martinez of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Also surviving is a grandmother, Mrs. George Frank of Spirit Lake.

Keith Miller was born at Estherville and was raised at Ringsted. He served in the United States Navy and since his discharge had made his home at Eagle Grove and Iowa Falls. He resided in Iowa Falls for the past eight years during which time he operated a star mail route between Iowa Falls and nearby Holmes in addition to working at the Superior Service Station here in Clarion. Services were held Saturday at 1:30 p. m. in Bruce's Memorial Chapel in Fort Dodge. Dr. Wayne Shoemaker, pastor of the First Methodist church in Fort Dodge.
