Beulah Nail, 88, of Webster City, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at Careage of Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, with Rev. Linda Bibb officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery, north of Webster City. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Beulah Jean Van Sickle, daughter of Charles and Alta Kleckler Van Sickle, was born April 11, 1923 at Woolstock. She received her education in Webster City schools, graduating from Lincoln High in 1941. On December 14, 1947, she married Wayne Nail at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. She had been employed at the Park Hospital at Mason City prior to her marriage. After her marriage she was a homemaker until 1971 when she started employment at the Hamilton County Public Hospital as a nursing assistant. She retired in 1986. Mr. Nail died June 13, 1999. She had been residing at Careage of Clarion for the past nine months.
Mrs. Nail is survived by son, Thomas Nail of Webster City; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Calvin Butrum of Webster City; Sharon and Keith Monroe of Alden; grandchildren, Cherie (Andy) Rawlings of Lenexa, KS; Aaron (Brooke) Onder of Mason City; James and Amy Monroe of Alden; great-granddaughters, Aubrey Rawlings; Grace and Kinnick Onder; sisters-in-law, Ethel Mae Van Sickle of Woolstock, Jessie Wilson of Webster City, Ruby Nail of Ankeny; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ursula Bamman; brothers, Leland, Allen, Glenn, Lester, Leslie (Pete), Ken and Charles Henry Van Sickle. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
