Emily Lu Kendall, mother of G. L. Kendall, of 225 S. Warwick Ave., passed away at the age of 82 years on Sunday, May 3, at Chicago, following a two-week illness she had made her home in Oak Park. The deceased was born in Dows, Ia., of Ruth and James Kent, on July 15, 1870. Her marriage to Wm. L. Kendall, who preceded her in death, took place in Dows, Ia., on Dec. 26, 1888. Her son, G. L. Kendall, survives, besides one sister, Mrs. Etta Yager of Cedar Point, Ia; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Rev. Gehl Devore conducted burial services on Tuesday, May 5, from the Toon Funeral Home in Westmont.
