Marjorie A. Hoelscher, age 73, formerly of Waseca, Minnesota died on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Janesville Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca with Rev. Del Begalka, officiating. Interment will be in Waseca’s Woodville Cemetery following services. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca.

Marjorie Ann was born on July 22, 1938 in Belmond, Iowa to John and Elaine (Johnson) Christenson. She was united in marriage to Robert Dale Hoelscher on December 31, 1956. From 1957 - 1974 they farmed, first near Byron, Minnesota, then later near Belgrade, Minnesota. From 1974 – 1997 they resided in Waseca before retiring to Northwood, Iowa. Marjorie enjoyed baking, shopping, John Wayne movies, and putting puzzles together with the ladies at Park Road Plaza in Janesville.

She is survived by her sons, Reece (Shirley) Hoelscher of Mankato, Dale (Robin) Hoelscher of Janesville and Mark (Cora) Hoelscher of Kensett, Iowa; by her 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; by her sisters, Pam Withers of Sioux City, Iowa, and Alice (Don) Fauskee of Brooten. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband Robert on November 3, 2003; by her father-in-law John Hoelscher, mother-in-law Irene (Walter) Janssen, and her brother-in-law Wayne Withers.

Casketbearers are: Matthew Hoelscher, Heidi Malecha, Justin Hoelscher, Wesley Hoelscher, Don Nierman, and Halli Schaal. Honorary bearers are: Nathan Hoelscher, Carrissa Schaal, and Sara Schaal.
