BELMOND - Dennis Pastour, 69, a lifelong resident of the Belmond area, most recently of Thornton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethany Reformed Church in Belmond. Friends may greet the family beginning at noon until the time of services at the church. Family and friends are requested to wear casual attire or western style clothing. The Rev. Art Zewert of the Zion Reformed Church of Sheffield will be officiating the service Interment will be held a later date at the Alexander Cemetery, Alexander.

Dennis Pastour, the son of Henry and Allie (Pals) Pastour, was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Belmond. He was one of four children who was blessed in this union, including Wayne, Norlene, Vernon and himself. He attended Belmond Schools where he participated in various extra-curricular activities. Dennis had been employed as a driver for North Iowa Co-op from May of 2004 and was with the co-op until his health issues forced him to retire. Dennis and his life and memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his sister, Norlene (Larry) Main, Buffalo Center; his brother, Vernon (Jane) Pastour, Mitchellville, Iowa; sister-in-law Susan (Roger) Moeller; and his nieces and nephews and their families including, Ronald (Amy) Main and their children, Carly and Colton; Randy (Monica) Main and children, Sidney and Hannah; Renea (Dan) Mitchell and their children, Mason, Braeden, Cooper; also his niece and Tracy Pastour and her children Madison and Zane; nephew Chad (Tiffany) Pastour and children Jenni and Wyatt. Dennis was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his brother Wayne 29, 1961, his father, Henry, and his mother, Allie. Andrews Funeral Home Belmond, Iowa.
