Jerald O. Beisner, 76, formerly of Clarion, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines of renal failure. A graveside service for Jerald Beisner was held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Jerald attended elementary school in Dows and graduated from Clarion High School in 1953. He then began his lifelong vocation as a farmer interrupted only by his service in the United States Army. In 2008, declining health necessitated his moving to Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation in Norwalk, Iowa, to be near and cared for by his sister.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank Sr. and Goldie (Schutt) Beisner; brothers Frank Jr. and Galen; and an infant sister. Survivors are his sister Jeanne (Jack) Dawson of Norwalk, and nephews Thad (Rachelle) Dawson of Polk City and Troy (Pamela) Dawson of Norwalk.
