Borge Andersen, the son of Knud Richard and Christina Marie Knudsen Andersen, was born on March 8, 1930 in Aarhus, Denmark. He grew up in Denmark during World War II. After attending school, Borge worked with his father at a vulcanizing shop. At the age of 17, Borge was sponsored by Dows citizen, Aage Eriksen and came to America. He settled west of Dows where he started working for Boyd and Doris Patterson on the Ranch. Borge was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1951.
