Wm. Arthur Brisbin was born on a farm one-half mile east of Eagle Grove, Iowa, February 26, 1894. He attended the public school of Eagle Grove until within a year or so of graduation when he went to work for the C. & N. W. Railway which he served for the last eight years. On his last birthday, February 20, 1918, he was married to Miss Evelyne Anderson of Hawarden, Iowa.

During the Lowry revival meetings held several years ago, Mr. Brisbin gave his heart to God and united with the Methodist Episcopal church in preparatory membership, being received into full membership May 17, 1908. He was always very regular in all his church duties when he was at liberty to engage in them. This excellent word has been spoken about him, that he was especially good to his mother and father.

Some days ago he was seized with influenza and on October 18, 1918, he passed from earth to the other world. Those of his immediate family bereaved by his death are his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Brisbln, his wife, one sister, Mrs. Fern Lyons of Iowa City, one brother Fred G. of Eagle Grove. These and other relatives and a large circle of friends will long miss his presence among them.

Funeral services were held at his late home Sunday afternoon at 4:00 P. M., conducted by Rev. Chas. H. Seward, assisted by , Rev Hugh Moore. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove.
