Ivan R. Oleson, 73, died August 11, 2011 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. A graveside service was held August 15 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Dows. Ivan Russell, the son of Russell and Viola Meyer Oleson, was born December 2, 1937 in Hampton. He grew up in the Dows area and graduated from Dows High School in 1956. He then began farming. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Dows. Ivan is survived by his sister Deanna (Dennis) Fahrmann, and brothers Marvin (Carolyn) and Dennis (Linda).
