December 4, 1882 -- January 25, 1950

F. J. Leeper, 67, of 1039 Oregon St. died about 11 am Friday at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart ailment and complications. He was born December 4, 1882 in Tama County, Iowa, the son of William and Catherine Leeper. He married Emma May Harson Oct. 21, 1899 at Clarion, Iowa. Mr. Leeper was a retired machinist. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Harold, Pine River, Minn., Oscar, Hillsboro, Ore. and Richard at home. Seven daughters, Mrs. Edith Carlton, Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Kenneth French, Greenville, Ill., Mrs. Jack Stumbo, Boone, Ia., Mrs. Robert Schoonaert, Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Claude Fairweather, Cedar Falls, Ia., Mrs. Durward Riley, Humboldt, Ia., and Mrs. Carl Knight 116 Oak Lawn Ave. 22 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, six brothers and two sisters. The body is at Kearns Garden chapel, where final arrangements are pending.
